A seminar was held in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Branch entitled
SYNTHESIS AND CHEMISTRY OF PLAZOMICIN
Where the master’s student Ali Jain Sager reviewed the mechanism of action of this drug and the relationship between chemical structural changes and the resulting efficacy and how to reduce the resistance of Enterobacterium SPP.
For aminoglycoside drugs by providing protection for the existing amino groups and by removing the hydroxyl groups for this class of drugs and thus protecting the drug as much as possible from the decomposing and destroying enzymes the amino and hydroxyl groups, and thus the drug is effective in case of resistance of these bacteria to aminoglycoside in the treatment of urinary tract infections.
