Department of Pharmacognosy

The department of the Pharmacognosy and Medicinal Plants has been established from the beginning of the establishment of the of the college of pharmacy to became one of the most important departments in the college to perform several tasks, which involve;

1.Teaching of theoretical and practical subjects in Pharmacognosy for the second and third stages.

2-The department is responsible for the agrarian training, and observation of the medicinal plants through a scientific trips to several of the medical botanical gardens that found in the colleges of pharmacy inside the country.

3.The department is responsible for planning, and preparation of training sessions for the researchers, graduates, and Herbalists through the continuous education program.

4.The department will give its scientific services through its stuff for several institutions as ministry of health, ministry of agriculture, ministry of industry, and other institutions which have relationship to its work.
