A seminar on (Growth of Rutile TiO2 Nanostructures and Fabrication UV Sensor) was held in the Department of

Pharmacognosy and Medicinal Plants, given by Asst. Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohammed Selman; where the seminar dealt with; UV light hazards and their applications in medicine, the role of UV light to production vitamin D, introduction and properties of Titanium dioxide (TiO2) and Preparation of high-quality and uniform rutile TiO2 nanostructures (Ns) by simple and low-cost process with controllable morphology. The result showed that the sample prepared at a growth temperature of 55 °C, pH of 0.7, duration of growth of 3 h, TiCl3 solution concentration of 4 mM, and annealing temperature of 550 °C had optimal structural, morphological, and optical properties. Fabrication UV -sensor based on prepared rutile TiO2 Ns. The UV-sensor demonstrated excellent stability over time, high photocurrent, suitable sensitivity, fast response, and high responsivity.
